The long beautiful coat is appealing to many but this doesn’t happen on its own.  It takes at least 3 hours a week (minimum) to maintain the show coat.

A great option for pet Tibetan Terriers is clipping the coat down. Your Tibetan would need to visit the groomer a minimum of 3-4 times a year. Some devoted owners invest in clippers and do it themselves. When it comes to coat care, this is NOT a low maintenance breed.
